Do you ever feel discouraged or defeated? I know that I do. Sometimes I wish I could just stay in bed and while the world keeps spinning. I know I’m not the only one who feels like this at times, you do too, everybody does. King David certainly had his ups and down just like us. I’m on a quest to read through the Psalms and learn from them. Today I was blown away by what I read in Psalm 63, my new favorite Psalm. King David wrote it when he was in the Desert of Judah; a hot, dry place that if generally uncomfortable for humans, most animals and plants. David was hiding from his enemies in these treacherous conditions. Yet, out of this dry desperate place, David wrote a Psalm that completely refreshed me. This is Psalm 63 and its worth reading, especially if you feel defeated or discouraged right now.

By Josh GamradtThis week I was moved by my friend Joshua's blog. Josh attended Freshwater for several years then had to relocate for his job, but while here Josh modeled loving others and ministering to the homeless. He enjoys taking homeless people out for lunch on his lunch break and showing them how much he values them. Thanks for your words Josh!
